This position serves as a strategic partner to the National Employee Benefits group, providing high-level expertise in pharmacy programs. The role is designed to drive new business initiatives and develop innovative pharmacy solutions for clients, bridging the gap between clinical knowledge and business strategy.
You will work closely with Alliant's Rx Practice Leader and health benefit consultants to craft client strategies, prepare deliverables, and identify key sales opportunities. A core part of your day involves conducting clinical reviews of formulary changes and new drug introductions, developing distinct points of view to guide client decisions. Additionally, you will contribute to the intellectual capital of the organization by creating training strategies that channel members toward cost-effective drugs, with a specific focus on the rapidly growing specialty drug market.
Candidates must hold a Pharmacy degree (R.Ph. or Pharm.D.) and possess ten or more years of recent relevant experience within a pharmacy benefit consulting firm or a strong background with a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM). Success in this role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside keen clinical and analytical abilities. You should be a self-starter capable of executing large, complex projects with a "big picture" perspective, leveraging other experts as needed, and working effectively without defined protocols. Willingness to travel up to 15% is required.
