About the Role
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our collaborative team in providing comprehensive healthcare services. In this key role, you will manage medication therapy and work to improve patient outcomes. This position requires a commitment to delivering the highest quality of patient care, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services.
As a Pharmacist at Encompass Health, you will serve as a vital link between patients and their healthcare providers. Your day will involve reviewing prescriptions to assure accuracy and evaluating their suitability, while providing expert advice on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage. You will assess the identity, strength, and purity of medications and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize drug therapy plans.
Beyond clinical duties, you will work directly with patients on general health management, offering counseling on both prescription and over-the-counter medications. You will also play a key role in maintaining essential records, including pharmacy files, patient profiles, and registries for controlled substances, while planning and implementing procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals in compliance with policy and legal requirements.
