About the Role

As a Pharmacist at Encompass Health, you will serve as a vital link between medical providers and patients, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care. Your day will involve reviewing and executing physician prescriptions to verify their appropriateness and legality, while maintaining rigorous control over the delivery, stocking, and labeling of medicines. You will be responsible for organizing the pharmacy to ensure efficient product identification and preparing dosage instructions to guarantee drugs are supplied and labeled correctly.

Beyond clinical duties, you will actively monitor patients' drug therapies to prevent interactions and advise on necessary interventions. This role requires you to liaise with healthcare providers and patients to accurately deliver prescription information, while also supervising and mentoring pharmacy technicians and assistants. Success in this position demands a deep knowledge of pharmaceutical therapy, proficiency in pharmaceutical software, and a compassionate approach to patient care that remains professional and empathetic in all situations.
