About the Role

The Personal Care Director at CorsoCare Personal Care, located within Independence Village of Madison Heights, serves as the strategic leader for administrative, clinical, and resident care services. This role is dedicated to fostering a compassionate environment where seniors receive competent, person-centered care. The Director acts as the primary advocate for residents, ensuring that care plans evolve to meet their physical, mental, and psychosocial needs while maintaining strong relationships with families and third-party providers.

Day in the Life

Your day is a dynamic blend of leadership, clinical oversight, and community engagement. You will lead monthly Wellness Chats with third-party providers and facilitate bi-weekly blood pressure clinics to promote proactive resident health. A significant portion of your time is spent on the floor, supporting staff and engaging directly with residents during daily stand-up meetings and Resident Forums.

You will manage the entire Wellness Staff across all shifts, conducting quarterly evaluations to set measurable goals and ensuring service agreements align with current ADL needs. From coordinating care for new admissions to managing complex occurrence reports and safety assessments, you will drive the department's efficiency and compliance. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director to plan staff trainings and lead monthly meetings that reinforce CorsoCare's core culture and pillars.
