About the Role
DTS is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to join our team supporting a direct client in Farmington Hills / Okemos, MI. This role is designed to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of modern cloud-native applications. You will serve as a strategic partner to development, DevOps, and operations teams, driving a culture of continuous improvement in performance engineering.
In this position, you will lead comprehensive performance testing strategies that validate system behavior under load, stress, and peak conditions. Your work will directly influence business requirements and project goals, ensuring that applications are optimized for real-world usage scenarios. You will act as a key advocate for performance best practices, collaborating across teams to troubleshoot bottlenecks and recommend architectural changes that enhance resilience and resource utilization.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- verifiedSeven years of experience in applications and systems performance testing, monitoring and evaluation
- verifiedFive years' experience in application development
- verifiedStrong hands-on experience with JMeter
- verifiedProficiency with Dynatrace or similar APM tools
- verifiedExperience managing and optimizing performance in Kubernetes environments
- verifiedKnowledge on versioning and CI/CD integration tools like Bitbucket and Jenkins
- verifiedAdvanced knowledge of DB/SQL/Linux
- verifiedExperience working in agile work environment
