About the Department and Team
The Department of Urology at Albany Medical College is seeking a fellowship-trained Pediatric Urologist to join our growing pediatric surgical team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice the full scope of pediatric urology within the region's only Children's Hospital, supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
The Bernard and Millie Duker Children's Hospital serves as the only children's hospital for 80 counties in upstate New York, extending care to families in southwest Vermont and Western Massachusetts. As the centerpiece of medicine, research, and medical education in New York's Capital Region, Albany Medical Center is the area's largest private employer with over 10,000 employees. The hospital is home to the region's largest facility, the only Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers, and the only children's hospital in the area.
Faculty and staff work within diverse, interdisciplinary teams, teaching learners at all levels. The department boasts an outstanding urology residency with fellowship-trained faculty in every subspecialty, regularly interacting with students and residents who highly value their rotations. The team includes a collaborative group of one pediatric urologist and 1.5 dedicated pediatric advanced practice providers, supported by three in-house clinical research staff to facilitate IRB processes and research-participant interactions.
