About the Team
Join the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology. As we grow our signature pediatric heart program, we are seeking an experienced interventional cardiologist to join our team. The University of Maryland Golisano Children's Hospital boasts a renowned Children's Heart Program with dedicated cardiac PICU beds. We have recently expanded our critical care, neurology, and neonatology services, providing unique opportunities for career development. We are also home to a pioneering artificial blood clinical research program.
Our program offers a superb working environment with eight physicians and two NPs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts, including a world-renowned pediatric cardiac surgeon, genetics, behavioral pediatrics, pediatric neurology, and a board-certified adult congenital cardiologist. The facility features state-of-the-art capabilities, including a Bi-Plane Philips Cath Lab configured for a full spectrum of pediatric and adult congenital procedures, full pediatric cardiac anesthesia support, and a 52-bed Level IV NICU ranked in the top 50 by U.S. News & World Report.
About the Role
This academic faculty position offers a full spectrum of care from prenatal and birth to childhood and adulthood, all within a single hospital. You will lead a strong inpatient and outpatient cardiology practice across seven practice sites throughout the State of Maryland. The role includes teaching responsibilities for medical students and pediatric residents, alongside excellent opportunities for collaborative research and leadership. You will work in a facility that includes a 19-bed PICU with dedicated cardiac beds, a 6-bed IMC, 29 general pediatric beds, a 20-bed Pediatric Emergency Department, and full ECMO support.
