About the Role
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel PCU Stepdown RN to deliver high-quality patient care in progressive care and stepdown units across the United States. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for acutely ill PCU patients
- check_circleMonitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry for significant changes
- check_circleAdminister and titrate IV medications according to provider orders
- check_circleManage central lines, peripheral IVs, drains, and other invasive devices
- check_circleCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
- check_circleEducate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
- check_circleParticipate in rapid response and emergency interventions as needed
- check_circleMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- check_circleAdhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies
- check_circleAdapt quickly to new facilities, units, and workflows for travel assignments
Requirements
- verifiedActive, unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) or compact RN license
- verifiedBLS (Basic Life Support) required
- verifiedACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
- verifiedPCU/Telemetry or Stepdown experience in acute care hospital setting
- verifiedNIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred or required by some facilities
- verifiedPCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse) certification preferred
Nice to Have
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (preferred or required by some facilities). Specialty certification such as PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse).
