About the Role
This Payments Operations (Healthcare) Analyst position is a 6-month onsite role based in Brooklyn, NY, or Tempe, AZ, with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time employee. The role is designed to support the financial integrity of healthcare billing operations by managing high-volume payment processing with a focus on speed and accuracy.
You will serve as a critical link between insurance carriers, patients, and the internal revenue management system. Your day-to-day involves interpreting and accurately keying alphanumeric data from paper and electronic Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), payment notices, and correspondence. A core part of your mission is to ensure accurate accounts receivable data by posting payments, balancing daily deposits against system reports, and reconciling remittances.
The role requires a keen eye for detail to identify and apply contractual adjustments, deductibles, copays, and co-insurance based on specific payer contracts. You will be responsible for resolving discrepancies between payment amounts and billed amounts, ensuring that all financial records remain precise and compliant.
