Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage payload CONOPS and operations requirements over the program lifecycle
- check_circleGuide payload subsystem development with a focus on mission CONOPS and timelines
- check_circleTranslate stakeholder needs into payload constraints, operating procedures, and command sequences
- check_circleIdentify payload and subsystem interfaces and ensure proper documentation flow
- check_circleSupport multidisciplinary teams in defining payload fault management architecture and design
- check_circleCommunicate payload operation procedures to internal and external customers
- check_circleWork with Integration and Test to ensure flight-like testing and provide risk assessment input
- check_circleDeliver presentations to internal and external customers in informal and formal settings
- check_circleMentor less experienced engineers in best systems engineering practices
- check_circleIdentify risks and collaborate with Systems Engineering to plan and control opportunities and threats
- check_circleTrack and assess project changes impacting operational plans and products
- check_circleSupport integration and test activities throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- verifiedBS degree or higher in Engineering or related technical field
- verified6+ years related experience (Master's/Ph.D. substitutes 2 years each)
- verifiedAccredited university degree
- verifiedActive TS/SCI security clearance
- verifiedAbility to obtain and maintain Polygraph
- verifiedFamiliarity with Ruby or Python scripting languages
Nice to Have
Familiarity and experience in space instrumentation and payload engineering, including imaging, data acquisition and analysis, commands and telemetry definition, systems architecture and design, systems engineering, integration and test. Familiarity and experience in operational software (flight or ground).
