About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Patternmaker to join an intimate apparel fashion client in Chatsworth. This is a fully onsite, temp-to-hire opportunity where you will bridge the gap between design concepts and mass production. You will be responsible for creating women's apparel production patterns for underwear, dresses, tops, and pants, utilizing both draping and computer patternmaking methods to interpret designer sketches.
In this role, you will work with a diverse range of materials including knits, rayon, wools, cottons, lace, and embroidery fabrics. Your day-to-day involves creating sewing specifications and garment measurement specs for factories, as well as developing and updating Tech Packs in Excel to include specs, grade rules, and pattern CADs with construction callouts. You will also inspect graded nests, verify size ranges for standard sizing across intimate, kids, and women's garments, and apply your knowledge of fit and mass production construction methods to correct patterns from the first prototype through to production.
