About the Role
The Patient Escort serves as a vital link in the patient experience, responsible for transporting patients, their family members, and disabled visitors to outpatient clinic appointments throughout the medical facility. This role exists to ensure that every individual receives service in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner.
In this position, you will be the face of our healthcare support services. Your day involves transporting patients via stretcher or wheelchair as directed, and assisting them with entering and exiting vehicles. You will also help remove wheelchairs, walkers, and personal medical equipment from vehicles. Beyond transportation, you will actively communicate and engage with valet staff and shuttle drivers to deliver the highest level of service. You will also play a key role in maintaining the availability of equipment and supplies, notifying leadership when inventory for wheelchairs or Staxi units is low.
