As a member of the dialysis health care team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. This position is essential to our mission of delivering high-quality care while ensuring compliance with rigorous federal, state, and corporate regulations. You will be the frontline support for patients undergoing hemodialysis, helping them navigate their treatment journey with compassion and precision.
Your day-to-day work involves a blend of clinical support and patient advocacy. You will welcome patients, assess their well-being, and assist in the setup and operation of complex hemodialysis machines. Beyond the technical aspects of treatment, you will be a key educator, helping patients and families understand disease processes, vascular access care, and the benefits of home dialysis options. In our Transitional Care Unit, you will guide newly admitted patients through their first four weeks of therapy, coordinating with various disciplines to ensure a seamless experience.
We are committed to a culture of continuous improvement. You will actively participate in Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, working alongside the team to enhance patient satisfaction and operational excellence. Whether you are monitoring patient responses during treatment, maintaining a sterile and safe environment, or documenting critical clinical data, your contributions directly impact the health outcomes of our community.
Candidates selected for this role must successfully complete our organization's comprehensive dialysis training program and obtain CPR certification. Employment is contingent upon meeting all Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS) approved state and/or national certification requirements within the mandated timeline. Additionally, all applicants are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment; please note that failing this test does not automatically preclude employment, as the company will consider reasonable accommodations on a case-by-case basis.
Fresenius Medical Care is dedicated to maintaining a drug-free workplace and fostering an inclusive environment where every team member can thrive. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, parental status, national origin, age, disability, military service, or other non-merit-based factors.
