As a Patient Access Advocate I-ED, you will be the first point of contact for patients at Presbyterian Hospital, playing a vital role in building their career while making a difference in their healthcare journey. This position focuses on completing registration for both scheduled and unscheduled visits, ensuring that all patient data, demographics, and insurance information are accurate and compliant.
In this role, you will manage the patient registration process, verify insurance eligibility, and collect point-of-service payments to ensure accounts are financially cleared. You will also address patient concerns regarding hospital financial matters and resolve complaints in the moment using de-escalation techniques. Every interaction is an opportunity to implement PROMISE and CARES behaviors, educating patients on their insurance benefits and liabilities while maintaining a supportive environment.
This is a PRN (as needed) position based at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM, with varied days and hours to accommodate the needs of the emergency department and hospital operations.
