Join the Outpatient Insurance Services (OIS) department at Lee Health, where our mission is to drive operational excellence and enhance the patient experience within the Patient Access Center. This team serves as the critical gateway for outpatient services, ensuring seamless scheduling, pre-registration, and insurance verification for our community. We are a collaborative, mission-driven environment dedicated to improving workflows and supporting both in-office and remote team members.
As an Insurance Services Training Specialist, you will be the driving force behind the development, onboarding, and continuous education of our Patient Access teams. This high-impact role exists to shape the success of new hires and strengthen the foundation of our department through strategic curriculum design and mentorship.
You will design and deliver comprehensive learning experiences covering patient scheduling, insurance verification, eligibility, and third-party authorization processes. Beyond classroom instruction, you will serve as a dedicated mentor and navigator for new hires during their first 90 days, ensuring they receive a streamlined introduction and a strong foundation for continued success. Your work will directly influence patient safety and revenue cycle performance by evaluating training effectiveness through account audits and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
In this hybrid capacity, you will act as the primary point of contact for remote team members, providing ongoing support and guidance. You will also play a key role in the planning, testing, and implementation phases of new software and functionality, ensuring the team adapts quickly to evolving systems.
