This part-time Patient Service Specialist position is based at our SouthPark office, specifically supporting morning shifts. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. Your role is vital to the intake and processing workflow, bridging the gap between patient needs and our clinical operations.
In this position, you will manage the full spectrum of front-office activities. You will greet patients and visitors, accurately register them in our system, and ensure all necessary paperwork and regulatory fields are completed. A key part of your day involves educating patients on portal usage and distributing relevant marketing materials. You will also handle financial transactions, including collecting co-pays, balances, and setting up payment plans, while ensuring all daily batches are reconciled and closed.
Beyond the front desk, you will manage inbound and outbound communications, verify insurance eligibility, and follow up with patients regarding missing insurance information. You will also be responsible for documenting all interactions accurately within athenaNet to meet regulatory standards. As a team member, you may be required to work at different Tryon office locations as needed to support our operations.
