This part-time position is responsible for the delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. The role focuses on providing an effective, incident-free service while maintaining excellent rapport with customers. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers at customer sites, adhering to all safety protocols.
Your day involves driving and operating a commercial truck, performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift, and using a company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. You will also operate forklifts or overhead cranes, clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable, and coordinate rental paperwork and payments with customers. Additionally, you will communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer issues, prepare driver notes, and perform necessary repairs on containers and lifts in the field or at the storage center. The role may also require providing backup for storage center functions and maintaining the cleanliness of the truck cab.
