About the Role
As a Part-Time Driver, you will be the face of PODS at customer locations, responsible for the safe delivery and pickup of moving containers. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless moving experience, combining operational precision with excellent customer rapport. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers, while also coordinating rental paperwork and handling payments directly with clients.
Your day involves more than just driving; you will perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain the cleanliness of the truck cab, and ensure containers are presentable before delivery. You will also utilize handheld computers for verification and navigation, and may be called upon to perform minor repairs on containers or lifts in the field. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety and customer satisfaction are paramount.
