The Part-Marking/Assembly Technician is a vital member of our manufacturing team at HORST, dedicated to precision and quality in every component produced. In this role, you will serve as the hands-on expert responsible for executing complex part marking and assembly tasks. You will operate a variety of advanced marking technologies—including Dot Peen, Electrolytic Etch, Vibro Peen, and 2D Matrix marking—to ensure every part meets strict customer specifications.
Beyond marking, you will set up and operate assembly equipment within a dedicated cell, assembling and adjusting complex components while developing and documenting the procedures that drive our production efficiency. As a key troubleshooter, you will identify and resolve assembly process problems, ensuring that productivity and quality expectations are consistently met. Your work involves rigorous visual and dimensional inspections using both conventional and advanced instruments to verify dimensions against blueprints, closing tolerances with exceptional attention to detail.
This position is based 100% on-site at our plant in East Hartford, CT. The role is scheduled for the 1st shift, running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The environment requires a strong mechanical background and the physical ability to stand for long periods, handle materials up to 50 lbs, and maintain high levels of hand dexterity.
