About the Role
This position is designed for a passionate professional ready to jump-start their career in a specialized ambulatory setting. As a PACU Nurse, you will ensure safe and effective nursing care is rendered postoperatively until the patient is dismissed from the facility. You will play a vital role in providing a safe and comforting environment for both patients and their families, utilizing your expertise to uphold the high standards of our center.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDemonstrate proper airway management techniques for postoperative patients
- check_circleMonitor patient vital signs, temperature, and cardiac status according to policy
- check_circlePerform insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks
- check_circlePrepare patient care areas and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available
- check_circleCheck dressings and operative sites, reporting any abnormalities to the surgeon
- check_circleEnsure patients meet all discharge criteria before dismissal from the facility
- check_circleConduct head-to-head evaluations using approved scoring systems and document findings
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing
- verified1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- verifiedActive RN license as required by state of employment
- verifiedBCLS Certification upon employment
- verifiedACLS required within 30-days of hire
- verifiedPALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
Nice to Have
