About the Role
This position is designed for a passionate professional ready to jump-start their career in a specialized ambulatory surgery center. As a PACU RN, you will ensure safe and effective nursing care rendered postoperatively until the patient is dismissed from the facility. Your expertise will help our center continue its legacy of employing nurses who contribute to the company's mission and vision.
You will work within a team dedicated to providing a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDemonstrate proper airway management techniques
- check_circleMonitor patient vital signs, temperature, and cardiac status according to policy
- check_circlePrepare patient care areas and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available
- check_circleCheck dressings and operative sites and report abnormalities to the surgeon
- check_circleEnsure patients meet all discharge criteria before dismissal
- check_circleInsert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks using proper technique
- check_circlePerform and document head-to-toe patient evaluations using approved scoring systems
- check_circleProvide a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing
- verified1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- verifiedActive RN license as required by state of employment
- verifiedBCLS Certification upon employment
- verifiedACLS required within 30-days of hire
- verifiedPALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
