About the Role
We are seeking a passionate PACU Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery center. This role is vital to ensuring safe and effective nursing care rendered postoperatively until the patient is dismissed from the facility. You will be part of a team that contributes to our legacy of employing nurses who embody our mission and vision. In this position, you will provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families, utilizing your expertise to manage airways, monitor vital signs, and ensure patients meet discharge criteria.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDemonstrate proper airway management techniques
- check_circleMonitor patient vital signs, temperature, and cardiac status according to policy
- check_circlePrepare patient care areas and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available
- check_circleCheck dressings and operative sites and report abnormalities to the surgeon
- check_circleEnsure patients meet all discharge criteria before dismissal
- check_circleInsert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks using proper technique
- check_circlePerform and document head-to-toe patient evaluations using approved scoring systems
- check_circleProvide a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing
- verified1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- verifiedActive RN license as required by state of employment
- verifiedBCLS Certification upon employment
- verifiedACLS required within 30-days of hire
- verifiedPALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
Nice to Have
1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
