About the Role
As a Travel PACU RN, you will provide exceptional post-anesthesia care in diverse healthcare settings across the United States. This role is designed for nurses who thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to ensuring safe, high-quality patient outcomes. You will assess, monitor, and stabilize patients recovering from surgery and procedures, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff.
Your day-to-day involves rapid, thorough assessments of airway, breathing, circulation, and pain levels upon patient arrival. You will continuously monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status, intervening promptly for any changes in condition. Beyond clinical care, you will serve as a vital link in patient transitions, coordinating safe movements from the operating room to the PACU and eventually to discharge or the next level of care. You will also provide clear education to patients and families regarding post-operative expectations, pain management, and wound care.
