About the Role
As an Orthotic Fitter embedded within an orthopedic practice, you will join a dynamic organization committed to delivering superior orthotic solutions with the patient's best interest at the center of care. This role is designed for a hands-on professional who thrives in a clinical setting, focusing on direct patient care, education, and building long-term relationships with both physicians and patients.
Embedded within a busy orthopedic practice, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes while representing a trusted organization. You will be the bridge between clinical needs and the devices that support them, ensuring optimal fit, function, and comfort for every patient you serve.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssess patients to determine appropriate durable medical equipment and orthotic needs
- check_circlePerform fittings and minor modifications to orthotic devices to ensure optimal fit and function
- check_circleEducate patients and caregivers on proper use, care, and maintenance of orthotic devices
- check_circleConduct follow-ups to resolve fit or comfort concerns and ensure patient satisfaction
- check_circleDocument detailed clinical notes in patient records and verify insurance and billing information
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
- check_circleReview weekly deliveries with the Patient Care Coordinator and Billing Manager to ensure accurate billing
- check_circleManage device inventory including ordering and replenishment
- check_circleCollaborate with leadership to develop monthly, quarterly, and annual action plans and growth initiatives
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree preferred
- verified1 year of experience fitting durable medical equipment in a clinical setting
- verifiedCertified Orthotic Fitter (ABC or BOC)
- verifiedKnowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics related to orthotic fitting
