About the Role
Dignity Health is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive acute care to patients with orthopedic conditions, serving as a vital link within our multidisciplinary medical community.
In this position, you will manage the full spectrum of inpatient orthopedic care, from preoperative preparation through postoperative recovery. Your day will involve rounding on inpatients, coordinating interdisciplinary care with Medical and Trauma teams, and consulting on ER patients to provide accurate diagnoses and appropriate plans of care. You will also serve as a first assist in orthopedic surgeries and participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and outcomes.
As part of a team of 10 Physician Assistants, you will rotate 24-hour first call duties for the Orthopedic service, ensuring timely and expert care is available around the clock. This role requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a complex, fast-paced healthcare environment.
