We are looking for an OR Manager RN to join our Alaska Regional Hospital team where excellence creates excellence. As the Nurse Manager of Surgical Services, you will assist the Director with the planning, administering, and evaluating of Operating Room operations. You will have the opportunity to be an influencer in healthcare, helping to shape a department focused on providing excellent care to patients and their families.
In this role, you will share accountability for the standards and scope of nursing practice within the unit. You will work with the Director on department staffing, including hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling. Your day-to-day will involve developing and communicating a shared vision for the department consistent with the hospital's vision, while identifying staff strengths and weaknesses to guide training and development. You will act with composure and professionalism, especially under pressure, and effectively coordinate functions with staff, physicians, and other hospital departments to focus on throughput based on patient needs.
