About the Role

We are seeking an ophthalmic scribe to join our team. In this role, you will be the vital link between the physician and the patient record, responsible for providing accurate documentation and summarization of the ocular examination and recommendations while maintaining patient flow and communication regarding appointment status.

Your day will involve observing the patient and the physician, assisting when appropriate, and maintaining awareness of both verbal and non-verbal communication. You will ensure patients understand instructions by repeating information, providing written materials, or handing out education resources. Additionally, you will complete superbills and billing orders as directed, guiding patients through the checkout process before the physician moves to the next appointment. Success in this role requires fluency in the exact requirements of each examination.
