About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment with Team 3 in the GU/Transplant department at the University of Iowa Hospitals (Direct) Program - Main. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment within a Level 1 trauma center. You will be responsible for scrubbing transplant surgeries, requiring strong specific experience in this setting.

This is a travel-only position; local candidates are not accepted. To be eligible, you must reside more than 60 miles from the facility. The role may require floating to additional units and locations. The assignment is expected to last 13 weeks, with a start date available any Monday. Shifts are 12 hours long (07:00–11:00 start), with potential for extensions, call, weekends, holidays, and overnights. A maximum of 7 days of time off is permitted during the contract.

Hiring Process & Requirements

Candidates must have 24 months of experience, with at least 3 months worked in the last 12 months. A 24-month gap is required between previous placements for Staff at the University of Iowa Hospitals (Direct) Program - Main, and no current placement is allowed at this facility.

References are a mandatory part of the application. You must provide one reference from your most recent place of employment and two manager/supervisor references. Proof of identification is also required.

Compensation & Culture

Rates are determined quarterly by UIHC for all agencies and are non-negotiable. Please check with your Advocate to confirm if a rate change will occur during your assignment dates.
