We are seeking an experienced Openshift DevOps Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for our containerized cloud application platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between infrastructure operations and developer needs, ensuring a robust, secure, and automated environment for our distributed applications.
Your primary mission is to design and maintain the continuous delivery framework that supports our platform services. You will act as a mentor to the developer community, guiding them on best practices for CI/CD deployments and containerized workflows. As an SRE, you will be responsible for enhancing platform stability, performing proactive fixes, and leading emergency responses when necessary.
You will spend your time architecting automated solutions that migrate workloads to containers and integrate them seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines. A significant portion of your day involves managing the infrastructure as a service layer, handling version upgrades and patching for OpenShift and Kubernetes environments. You will also focus heavily on security hardening, implementing policies to protect our systems, and maintaining container registries.
Collaboration is key; you will work closely with teams to troubleshoot complex issues, document root cause analyses, and ensure 360-degree system health through monitoring tools like Prometheus and ELK. While the role is primarily focused on technical execution, you will also be expected to support project needs, which may include weekend availability to ensure continuous operations.
