The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Southern Illinois University (SIU) is seeking OBGYNs to join an established practice. This expansion aims to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community while providing a unique opportunity for incoming physicians to shape the future of the practice and lead the team.

This position is designed to maintain a healthy work-life balance while positively impacting patient lives. The role offers a flexible distribution of time: approximately 70% dedicated to meaningful clinical service, 20% to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals, and 10% to research and administrative duties. These percentages can be adjusted to align with individual career aspirations.

The practice is located in Decatur, a historic community just 40 minutes east of Springfield and within a comfortable drive to Chicago. Decatur offers small-town charm with easy access to world-class amenities, including the Macon County Museum Complex and the Lincoln Trail Homestead Memorial. The city features diverse historic residences, such as the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Edward P. Irving House, and provides ample recreation through Lake Decatur and numerous parks. The cost of living in Decatur is significantly lower than the national average, with housing costs approximately 75% less.
