The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital delivers specialized services to women in all life stages, encompassing prevention, screening, and educational initiatives. As a family-focused institution, the hospital houses a New York Maternity Center equipped with high-tech capabilities designed to create a comforting environment for a positive labor, delivery, and postpartum experience.
Our team of highly skilled physicians provides the latest in obstetrical care, working closely with hospital anesthesiologists to ensure expectant mothers have access to the most appropriate pain management options. The department is committed to providing the utmost comfort and care for both parents and newborns, delivering approximately 2,000 newborns annually.
We are seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrician Gynecologist Hospitalist to join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. This position holds the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Reporting to the Site Chief and Director of Labor and Delivery, you will serve as the primary in-house obstetrical physician, providing clinical oversight for patients on the labor floor. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supervising the care of antepartum and postpartum inpatients, managing gynecologic consults (including those requiring surgical intervention), and serving as the Attending for Physician Assistants. In addition to clinical duties, you will actively participate in continuing medical education and department quality initiatives, contributing to our culture of excellence and teaching.
