The Nutrition Program Assistant is a vital part of our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our senior dining sites and serving as a flexible substitute for key roles such as the Dining Coordinator, Route Coordinator, and Meals on Wheels Driver. Based in our Bedford office, you may support any of our twelve Dining and Home Delivered Meal sites or our Burlington, MA location on any given day.
This role is dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for seniors and disabled adults in community settings. You will oversee daily operations, manage volunteer schedules, and step in to deliver meals when drivers are unavailable. Your work ensures that our community members receive consistent, high-quality support while adhering to strict food handling, health, and safety standards.
This position offers variety, as you may work at a dining site, drive for Meals on Wheels, or assist in our office. The role involves exposure to changing weather and seasonal conditions. You will regularly use standard office equipment and must be able to walk up and down stairs. The physical demands include lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 lbs in general operations, with specific meal delivery tasks requiring the ability to lift bags or coolers up to 35 lbs.
As a Nutrition Program Assistant, you will have access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personal Identifiable Information (PII). You are required to strictly adhere to Minuteman's confidentiality policy, HIPAA regulations, and MA Executive Order 504 to protect the privacy and safety of our participants.
In accordance with the Massachusetts Wage Transparency Act, the pay range for this position is $19 - $20 per hour. Final compensation is determined by the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. This is a part-time position with 17.5 hours per week.
