About the Role
As a Nursing Educator at Lee Health, you will design, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based education for nurses and clinical teams across our Southwest Florida system. In partnership with leaders and frontline staff, you'll assess learning needs, develop curricula, lead orientations and competency training, and support continuing education and clinical mentorship. You will champion best practices, regulatory readiness, and a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous learning to elevate patient-centered care and outcomes in our community-focused, not-for-profit health system.
Your day-to-day involves facilitating classroom, skills lab, and bedside teaching for nurses and interprofessional teams. You will support new graduate nurses and preceptors through onboarding and mentorship while ensuring educational programs align with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. By using data and outcomes to refine education, you will actively support quality and safety initiatives and collaborate with leaders to support practice changes and the implementation of best practices.

Requirements
- verifiedActive RN license in state of practice
- verifiedMaster's degree in Nursing or Nursing Education preferred
- verifiedCertified Nurse Educator (CNE) preferred
- verifiedBLS and ACLS certifications
- verifiedMinimum 3 years recent clinical nursing experience
- verifiedExperience with curriculum design and staff development
- verifiedFamiliarity with simulation-based education
- verifiedElectronic health record (EHR) proficiency
Nice to Have
Master's degree in Nursing or Nursing Education. Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification.
