About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in performing medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This role involves conducting focused, in-person physical exams and reviewing medical records electronically to complete the required documentation for the VA.
In this position, you will serve as a critical link in the disability determination process. Your day will consist of performing 3-5 focused assessments per day, analyzing electronic medical records via a secure web portal, and providing medical opinions based on your findings. A key aspect of this role is its clear boundary: you will not be responsible for treatment or prescribing medication, as disability determinations are made solely by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Instead, your focus remains on accurate documentation and compassionate evaluation.
