Alumni Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to provide critical coverage at a facility in Lubbock, Texas. This role is designed to support high-acuity inpatient needs, specifically within the Neuro-ICU, where the team manages complex neurology and neurosurgery patients. While neuro experience is a significant bonus, the primary focus is on stabilizing and managing patients in an intensive care setting.
In this position, you will serve as a vital link in the acute care continuum. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing patient admissions and discharges, running codes, and performing essential procedures such as intubation, central line placement, dialysis line insertion, and arterial lines. The volume of procedures may vary, ranging from none to two or three per night over a seven-day period.\n Collaboration is key to this role. During the day, a physician is present on-site or available by phone, while nighttime coverage relies on physician availability via phone. You will also handle communication with internal floors and manage patient transfers, ensuring seamless care coordination across the unit.
This is a clinic-only coverage role with a 12-hour shift schedule (6:00 AM to 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM). The immediate need covers the dates of July 31 through August 3, 2026, with the potential for ongoing shifts. The position requires a minimum of 7 shifts to be bid, with overtime applicable after 12 hours worked per day.
To apply, please submit an updated CV directly to Danielle Dick at danielle@alumnihealthcare.com or call (908) 842-8233.
