We are currently seeking a Nurse Manager to fill an opening within a non-profit organization that operates a network of federally qualified health centers. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSupervise and manage nursing staff across multiple primary care and specialty services
- check_circleOversee daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care delivery
- check_circleDevelop and implement staff schedules, assign duties, and manage time-off requests
- check_circleConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and professional development
- check_circleEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including infection control and patient safety
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and administrative leadership to improve clinical workflows
- check_circleMonitor clinical quality metrics and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- check_circleInvestigate and resolve patient complaints, staff concerns, and incident reports
- check_circleCoordinate orientation and training for new nursing staff and ensure continuing education requirements
- check_circleManage inventory of medical supplies and equipment to ensure cost-effective utilization
- check_circleServe as a liaison between nursing staff and upper management to communicate organizational goals
- check_circleParticipate in emergency preparedness planning and response efforts within the health center network
Requirements
- verifiedBS in Nursing or equivalent Bachelor's Degree
- verifiedCurrent NYS Registered Nurse License
- verifiedProficient in EHR
- verifiedProficient in regulatory compliance (DOH, OSHA, CDC guidelines)
Nice to Have
Previous experience in nursing leadership, supervisory, or management roles within a community health center, hospital, or outpatient setting.
