As the Nurse Manager, you will provide direct leadership for daily nursing unit operations within our Inpatient Rehabilitation hospital. Your mission is to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery by focusing on frontline execution, staff presence, coaching, and consistency of nursing practice. You will play a pivotal role in supporting bedside teams, strengthening workflows, and ensuring that nursing standards are carried out effectively each day.
Your day will be defined by visible leadership on the patient care units, where you will provide real-time support to staff and RN supervisors. You will routinely round to identify barriers, workflow concerns, and patient care needs, while coordinating daily staffing adjustments based on census and acuity. While your primary focus is operational leadership, you will also step in to provide direct patient care support during periods of high volume or staffing gaps to maintain safe unit operations.
Beyond daily execution, you will foster a culture of growth by providing direct coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to nursing staff and charge nurses. You will reinforce standards of practice through observation and just-in-time training, while assisting with the onboarding and orientation of new employees. Your efforts will directly impact employee engagement, retention, and the overall quality of care delivered to our patients.
