Key Responsibilities
- check_circleCoordinate and conduct performance-based Reactor Operator and Non-Licensed Operator training programs
- check_circleConduct counseling sessions and develop individualized training programs for trainees
- check_circleSupport business initiatives, project management, and refuel outage activities
- check_circleParticipate in NRC and INPO audits and prepare responses to audit findings
- check_circleSupervise the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports
- check_circlePrepare trainee examinations and conduct evaluations in classroom, laboratory, and simulator environments
- check_circleMaintain training programs current by incorporating INPO reports, NRC bulletins, and new regulations
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma/GED with 6 years power plant operator experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years experience OR Bachelor's in engineering/science with 2 years experience
- verifiedMust achieve Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification within 18 months
- verifiedPrevious Equipment Operator with 6 years experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years nuclear background OR Current/previous licensed RO/SRO with 4 years experience OR Bachelor's in engineering with 3 years nuclear background
- verifiedCurrent or previous SRO license (Senior Operations Instructor)
- verifiedMaintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements
- verifiedFavorable medical examination and/or testing
Nice to Have
Experience in commercial nuclear training. Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT).
