About the Role
The News Desk Producer serves as a critical conduit for content distribution, creating and delivering news to NBC affiliates, the NBC News Group, and international clients via the Orbit platform. This position is designed for a journalist with strong editorial judgment who can effectively prioritize and publish content in a fast-paced environment.
You will work in close collaboration with the newsgathering team to write and edit stories, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role demands the ability to respond quickly to breaking news and maintain high-quality customer service for all internal and external stakeholders. As a key member of the team, you will also take the editorial lead on political and election coverage, assisting the DC bureau with daily package offers, logging, writing, and gathering of elements.
