Methodist Hospital Texsan is a 120-bed acute care hospital and one of South Texas's premier heart and orthopedic facilities. About the Residency Program
The Methodist Healthcare Residency Program is a year-long initiative designed to support your transition from student nurse to registered nurse. We are committed to the growth and development of our future nurses, providing a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents. This program shepherds you through the transition by promoting learning, clinical application, and socialization.
As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will be surrounded by a team that fosters your development through advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, and hands-on simulations. You will also engage in mentoring from experienced nurse leaders and collaborate on an evidence-based practice project. This paid program equips you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment.

Requirements
- verifiedAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- verifiedRegistered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse Permit in the State of Texas
- verifiedBasic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
