As a Network Infrastructure Technician, you will be the frontline expert ensuring the physical integrity of our clients' data center environments. This role exists to maintain the highest standards of structured cabling and network infrastructure, supporting facilities management, site security, and critical project engagements. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of cabling, from installing and certifying structured and patch panel cabling to decommissioning obsolete infrastructure.
Your day-to-day involves working within elevated and underfloor cabling trays to install single and multi-mode optical cabling and copper cabling compliant with IEEE and BICSI standards. You will utilize Fluke Versiv Mainframes to test installed cables and perform rigorous inspections and cleaning of optical connections. Beyond cabling, you will act as a key interface between on-site associates and centralized project operations, handling complex Move, Add, Change (MAC) requests, layer 1 troubleshooting, and emergency restorations for power, cooling, and fire suppression systems. Success in this position requires a self-driven motivation to satisfy customers by completing all work with a commitment to perfection.
Candidates must be prepared to adhere to a Client Addendum, which will be provided upon offer. The role is an hourly position based on experience and skill level, located at a customer site in Tempe, AZ. Please note that this position requires flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, to support critical infrastructure needs.
