About the Role
At Nicklaus Children's Health System, this position serves as a critical technical resource dedicated to maintaining the integrity and safety of our networking infrastructure. The role is designed to ensure that all low-voltage installations, including cable and fiber optics, meet rigorous industry standards while supporting the organization's mission to deliver exceptional patient care.
In this capacity, you will work with minimal supervision to analyze existing hardware, make strategic recommendations, and assist project teams from the initial planning phase through to project completion. Your work directly impacts the stability of our security and communication systems, including the Genetec security center, surveillance cameras, and access control technologies. By promoting automation standards and developing efficient workflows, you will help streamline processes that positively affect the daily operations of the hospital.
The day-to-day rhythm involves a blend of hands-on technical execution and strategic oversight. You will be responsible for system administration duties, such as designing modifications, performing technical investigations, and conducting root cause analysis to resolve escalated support issues. A significant portion of your time will be spent ensuring safe cable installation practices, verifying the integrity of IDF closets, and implementing resolutions to prevent unplanned outages. You will also collaborate with internal and external vendors, attend regulatory meetings, and prepare comprehensive documentation, including architecture designs and training materials, to ensure a high quality of service.

Requirements
