NASA Space Vehicle Modeling and Simulation Engineer

About the Opportunity

CACI is seeking an experienced Space Vehicle Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support NASA's human-rated spacecraft systems at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. This role is a critical component of the Nation's space exploration initiative, specifically supporting the Artemis program's lunar base and surface exploration efforts.

About the Role

In this position, you will execute large-scale simulation verification and validation tasks on Linux PC platforms using the Trick© Simulation Environment and Development Toolkit. Your work will involve developing, integrating, and validating math models for spacecraft systems and subsystems, including hardware and software. You will design simulation scenarios to test both nominal and off-nominal operations, analyze simulation data to evaluate system characteristics and performance, and support continual enhancements to the simulation architecture.

Beyond technical execution, this role requires strong communication skills. You will present analysis results and their impact on spacecraft performance, vehicle design, and mission design to customers. Success in this role demands a self-motivated individual who is people-savvy, possesses strong customer relationship skills, and can articulate complex technical ideas in a convincing manner.
