About the Role
The Multifamily-Field Engineer serves as a critical support to the Project Manager and Superintendent(s) on the project site. This role is dedicated to managing subcontractors and suppliers in strict accordance with D.R. Horton’s and DHI Communities’ corporate policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will display professional attributes that enhance the image of the company while ensuring project quality and safety.
In this position, you will be the eyes and ears on the ground, reviewing construction documents for potential conflicts, monitoring site usage, and verifying the quality of material deliveries. You will play a key role in the inspection process, checking foundations, trusses, and rough trades prior to city inspections. The role also involves maintaining detailed records of work progress, safety meetings, and delivery logs, as well as helping to create and manage punch lists for various trades.

- check_circleDirectly manage Land Department employees including hiring, training, and performance appraisal
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or GED
- verifiedOne to two years of related experience
- verifiedValid driver's license
- verifiedMust have a vehicle
- verifiedGood working knowledge of construction management theory and practice
- verifiedPC proficient
- verifiedProficiency with MS Office
- verifiedBachelor's degree in construction or related field preferred
- verifiedExperience in multi-family construction preferred
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in construction or related field. Experience in multi-family construction. Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
