Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMaintain product quality through compliance with established best practices
- check_circleConduct residential and commercial field property inspections using Xactimate software
- check_circleInvestigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses
- check_circleInterview fire, police, and governmental officials to determine negligence and damages
- check_circleRecommend claim reserves based on investigation findings and supported reports
- check_circleObtain and interpret official reports to support claim evaluations
- check_circlePrepare thorough captioned reports summarizing information for clients
- check_circleReview coverage forms and endorsements to analyze coverage issues
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum 5 years first-party commercial and/or residential property and liability adjusting experience
- verifiedState adjuster's license where required
- verifiedValid driver's license
- verifiedWorking computer and internet access
- verifiedMicrosoft Word proficiency
- verifiedXactimate estimating software
- verifiedAbility to take recorded statements
- verifiedExperience preparing Statements of Loss, Proofs of Loss, and denial letters
- verifiedIn-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
- verifiedBackground check clearance
Nice to Have
Xactimate estimating software experience. College degree. AIC or other professional designations. Experience in fire departments, agricultural, lumber mills, high value or historic buildings, Construction Defects, Automobile Liability, or Subrogation Recovery investigations.
