Technologists in this position are expected to engage in ongoing training and education regarding positioning, advanced techniques, and MRI safety guidelines. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to effectively prepare patients, manage intravenous access, and administer medications as prescribed. Beyond technical execution, the technologist evaluates image quality, ensures patient identification accuracy, and strictly adheres to ACR MR safety guidelines, including screening patients and controlling access to MR areas.
