About the Role
We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on IBM MQ Engineer to support mission-critical messaging infrastructure. This role is unique in its blend of strategic engineering and direct incident response, reflecting the high-impact nature of the platform. The MQ environment serves as the backbone for major internal systems and external B2B integrations with financial partners, requiring a professional who thrives in a critical, high-stakes environment.
You will own the IBM MQ platform running on Linux, managing everything from internal messaging systems to complex external integrations. Beyond daily operations, you will drive lifecycle planning and roadmap execution. The current landscape relies on distributed MQ on Linux with a near-term requirement to remain on-premises. Looking ahead, you will lead the transition to an AWS-based MQ environment, shifting the organization toward Infrastructure as Code and automated deployments over the next 1-3 years.

Requirements
