About the Role

In this critical position, you will operate and monitor MPD choke systems to maintain precise wellbore pressure, adjusting surface backpressure in real time to ensure optimal bottom hole pressure. You will collaborate closely with the Driller and Company Representative for seamless operations, responding quickly to well conditions such as influx, losses, or pressure changes.\n Your day-to-day involves performing system checks, calibrations, and functional testing while ensuring all MPD equipment and sensors are fully operational. You will troubleshoot and assist with repairs of choke systems, manage inventory of spare parts, and accurately log all MPD parameters and events. Working alongside Drillers, Mud Engineers, and MPD Supervisors, you will communicate effectively during shift changes to ensure continuity and provide feedback to improve system performance.

Work Environment

This role operates on rotational schedules (14/14, 20/10, 28/28) and requires comfort working in extreme weather conditions. You will be exposed to high-pressure systems and heavy equipment, with physical requirements including the ability to lift up to 45 lbs and the capability for extended standing, walking, and equipment use.
