Lap of Love is dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for companion animals in the comfort of their own homes. Our mission is to support pets and their families through the most difficult moments, ensuring peaceful, dignified farewells while upholding the highest standards of medical and emotional care. We are a supportive community of veterinarians committed to bringing healing and comfort to those who need it most.
As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will serve as a vital link between veterinary medicine and the emotional needs of pet families. This role goes beyond clinical duties; it is about guiding families through end-of-life decisions with empathy, clarity, and grace. You will travel to clients' homes to perform gentle exams, develop individualized comfort-care plans, and provide in-home euthanasia services following our established protocols.
Your day will involve managing your own schedule and routing to ensure timely visits, while maintaining accurate medical records and safely handling controlled substances. You will collaborate closely with a supportive team and referring veterinarians to optimize care, offering grief-support resources to help families navigate their loss. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who finds deep meaning in bringing meaningful comfort to pets and the people who love them.
Interested candidates should submit their application with a cover letter highlighting their experience in small animal medicine and any background in hospice or palliative care. The interview process typically includes a review of credentials, a discussion of your approach to end-of-life care, and a conversation about your fit within our mobile practice model.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and the families we serve.
