Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform and validate routine and complex diagnostic tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood bank
- check_circleOperate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and instruments
- check_circleDocument test procedures and results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- check_circleFollow established quality control, quality assurance, and safety protocols
- check_circleCollaborate with pathologists, nurses, and providers to resolve testing issues and interpret results
- check_circleParticipate in proficiency testing and regulatory compliance activities
- check_circleTrain and mentor new staff and students as assigned
- check_circleContribute to process improvement and innovation initiatives in Laboratory Services
Requirements
- verifiedASCP (MLS or MLT) certification or eligibility
- verifiedState clinical laboratory technologist/technician license (if applicable)
- verifiedBLS certification preferred
- verifiedExperience with CLIA/CAP/JCAHO standards
Nice to Have
BLS certification preferred. Experience with CLIA/CAP/JCAHO standards.
